Fatty alcohols

LASCARAY offers a wide range of fatty alcohols, selected for their quality and the attention paid throughout their production. Long-chain fatty alcohols are materials mainly obtained from palm kernel oil.

Applications :

• Cosmetics: Fatty alcohols are widely used in “personal care”. They can be used in hair care (shampoos, hair masks, hair conditioners, hair color, etc), skin care (cosmetic creams, lotions, body care, sun protection, face care, etc). For these applications we recommend our fatty alcohols in pure cuts (LASCOL 1698 and 1898) or blends (LASCOL 6830 and 6850)
• Industry: Fatty alcohols are also commonly used in the textile industry (LASCOL 1298, 1898 and 6830 or 6850), lubricants, metal industry (metal treatment). In the ceramics industry, LASCOL 1898 is used (mainly for the impregnation of pigments)

• LASCOL 1298 – Lauryl Alcohol
  Lauryl alcohol, or dodecan-ol, is also called dodecanol, dodecyl alcohol or lauric alcohol. It is a fatty alcohol that LASCARAY delivers in liquid form, in 170 kg drums. Lauric alcohol 98% min. (liquid) is a dangerous product in terms of transport (UN number 3077, class 9, packaging III).

• LASCOL 1698 – Cetyl Alcohol
  Cetyl alcohol, or n-hexadecanol, is also called palmitic alcohol. It is a fatty alcohol that is in solid form (white flakes) at room temperature. LASCARAY can deliver it in flakes, in 20kg bags on pallets.

• LASCOL 6830 – Cetyl stearyl alcohol 68/30
  Cetyl stearyl alcohol is also known as cetostearyl alcohol or cetearyl alcohol. It is a mixture of fatty alcohols composed mainly of cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol. LASCARAY delivers it in 20 kg bags on pallets (solid form: flakes).
